She's gone, she's gone...oh I...oh I...I'd better learn how to face it...

First of all, can you name that song and the artist? AND the year??

We left Jillian in Logan today. Here is our day in pictures:

I don't really have any words right now...I'm searching. But this was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I'm so excited for her though. She. Is. Going. To. Shine:)

sorry don't know the song etc....
but the pictures just made me not want that day to come...it goes by way to fast...it was just yesterday she was barely old enough to babysit Laren. I adore the picture of Grace and Jillian...so tender. She will grow so much. And so will all of you! Not too far away!

Yeah right!!!!!!
What a grand adventure for Jillian!
and a learning experience for everyone else. Did anyone else notice the sad little face sitting on the bed :o( hugs all around especially for the "little face"

the song is by Hall and Oates...it's called "She's Gone" I'm not sure of the year, but probably somewhere between 1983-1988. Check it out on i-tunes. I thought about you a lot this week and worried how all of that would go. Believe me...I am feeling every ounce of every emotion you are experiencing right now. Just remember, when you think you're going to stop breathing because you miss her so much, try anyway. I found that it got better when I took a deep breath...and didn't go into her room and spend hours just staring. You'll make it!

Joy wins the prize! It IS Hall and Oates, was released in 1973, but re-released in 1985!

And you described my emotion perfectly...I keep holding my breath trying to stuff the empty feeling. I miss her so much already...sitting at church was brutal. I didn't have anyone to whisper snide/funny/and oh yeah spiritual thoughts to. I felt so lost without her next to me. However, I HAVE to keep going into her room cause Grace is moving in there. We've been putting all of her clothes in there today and she's been trying to make it more "her" space. Now I'm humming "the circle of life..." Ha.

Oh, and Trixie, sensitive person that she is, of course noticed my little Gracie's face in the picture...she spent more time crying than I did yesterday. The excitement of moving all of her stuff into their room is tempering her grief today though : )

You'll make it through Kara. That sad little face on the bed reminded me of a sad little face at my own house.

I have little bit of an idea of how you're feeling.

Now I get to deal with the flood of emotions this post bought on me! HA HA! Your pics are precious!

I hate to add to your tears, but those sad little faces crop up every time the college student comes home for a holiday and then has to go back again. Eli is already starting the 'one week and counting' scrunched up face where I catch him blinking his eyes a lot while looking at Whitney and trying to be the brave little man. I don't know what he will do if she goes on a mission! Hang in there!
