Here is my boy eating his first apple in 18 months! His braces were removed today. On the way home we stopped and got a chicken sandwich...whee! No gnarly bread mixture to pick off of metal. Then we came home and he dove headfirst into a box of ju ju fruit candy (which we had purchased on Saturday for this very occasion!) Then he bit into this delicious apple.
Serious milestone for our family. THREE teenagers, about FIVE years and FIVE THOUSAND OUT OF POCKET DOLLARS later we're DONE with the orthodontist for awhile. Picture me doing an earth moving, hip swaying, feet stomping happy dance.
The Brain: Are you pondering what I'm pondering? Pinky: I think so Brain, but burlap chafes me so.
Quote of the Day
"Faith in something greater than ourselves enables us to do what we have said we'll do, to press forward when we are tired or hurt or afraid, to keep going when the challenge seems overwhelming and the course is entirely uncertain." -Gordon B. Hinckley
